Summary: The California Military Department, under proper authority, organizes, resources and trains forces with unique capabilities, serving the community, state, and nation.
Most Pressing Need: "With 1.2 million -- or 46 percent of the total force -- as Guard or Reserve personnel. Today, 178,000 are currently serving in some capacity in the global war on terror. About 400,000 have been mobilized since the attacks on America on Sept. 11, 2001. In this operational environment, tools for recruitment that help identify key best practices to enlist the right people for the right positions are needed."
Results: The Cal Guard's northern recruiting command hosted a seminar utilizing Total Integration modules focused on interactive recruitment training and best practices resulting in key procedures changes relative to matching the best people with the most appropriate MOS (military occupation specialty). |
